About this Webinar
Individuals living with terminal illness have options in the type of healthcare they receive. In this webinar, we will clarify the difference between palliative care and hospice, review end-of-life options including medical aid in dying and voluntarily stopping eating and drinking, and discuss the important role that advance directives play in helping people remain in control when facing serious or terminal illness.
About the Presenter
Ashley Fry is the Director of Clinical Engagement for Compassion & Choices and works to support clinicians in providing equitable and good quality end-of-life care. She has over 15 years of nursing experience, which includes work as a nurse practitioner in both inpatient and outpatient hospice and palliative care. She holds board certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and as an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse. Ashley earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice with a focus in Health Policy from George Washington University.
