As you age, your risk of having eye problems increases. As a result, your chances of having vision loss increase as well. The good news is there are ways to prevent, detect, treat, and manage most of these problems.
About the Presenter
Sunir Garg, MD, FASRS, is Professor of Ophthalmology at the Retina Service of Wills Eye Hospital, Thomas Jefferson University, and is a partner with Mid Atlantic Retina. He is co-director of the Retina Research Unit at Wills Eye Hospital. He has published over 500 peer-reviewed papers, book chapters, and commentaries, and is editor of ophthalmology for the Merck Manual, past Editor-in-Chief of Retina Times, and a member of the Editorial Boards of the American Journal of Ophthalmology and the Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology. For the American Academy of Ophthalmology, he is Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the ONE Network, Retina section chair for the Annual Meeting, a member of the Ethics Committee, an EyeCare America volunteer, and an official clinical spokesperson.
Dr. Garg has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Popular Science, The Atlantic, and Women’s Health, and has been on Good Morning America, the Today Show, and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
Ravi D. Goel, MD is the Senior Secretary for Ophthalmic Practice, a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology Board of Trustees, and an EyeCare America volunteer. Dr. Goel is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmic Executives Board of Directors and Chair of the AMA Ophthalmology Section Council. He is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon with Regional Eye Associates in Cherry Hill, NJ and an Instructor at the Wills Eye Hospital.
Dr. Goel is the recipient of Top Doc Awards from South Jersey Magazine (2011, 2012), SJ Magazine (2011, 2014), and NJTopDocs (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020). He’s been featured in numerous publications and news programs.
