Join us for a presentation by attorney Ilya Lyubimskiy (JD, CPA, CFE) which will focus on estate planning best practices. During the presentation, Ilya will explain common misconceptions and what should be avoided when creating an estate plan. He will also cover why it’s usually not a good idea to forego an estate plan, and will discuss helpful tips for professionals in guiding clients to the right resources.

Areas discussed will include:

  1. What happens when people don’t have a good estate plan
  2. Reasons why estate planning is beneficial for everyone regardless of wealth
  3. How real property impacts estate planning
  4. Different options in preserving one’s legacy: Wills v. Trusts
  5. Other important documents everyone should have

About the Presenter

Ilya Lyubimskiy is an associate in the law firm of Ambler Keenan Mitchell Johnson, an estate and elder law planning firm. Ilya focuses his practice on estate planning, and probate and trust administration. He is a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys and the Colorado Bar Association. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Colorado. Ilya served as a Deputy District Attorney in the 17th Judicial District for nearly six years fighting for victims of crime in court. As part of the Economic Crime Unit, he advocated for the rights of elderly and at-risk individuals. He enjoys working with families on estate planning matters and takes pride in providing clients with quality and reliable estate planning services. He enjoys educating the public and professionals on various legal topics.
