Bill Comfort is one of the most-experienced LTC insurance specialists in the country.  He began his insurance career in 1991, sold his first LTC insurance policy two years later, and he has specialized exclusively in LTC insurance since 2000.

As a former radio and TV journalist, Bill has a unique ability to take the complicated world of long-term care and clearly communicate extended care planning, LTC insurance implementation options, and how to navigate LTC claims.  Based in Raleigh-Durham, NC, he serves clients across the country through his brokerage agency, Comfort Long Term Care.

Bill holds the Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)®, Certified in Long-Term Care – CLTC®, and Long-Term Care Claims Professional – LTCCP® designations.

Bill is the founder, creator and lead instructor for the LTCCP® designation course through his independent education company, LTC Claims Training.  Bill served as a national faculty member for CSA from 2002 to 2012 in the subject areas of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and Long-Term Care.  He has been an instructor for CLTC since 2002 and has served as the Director of Training for CLTC.  He is an approved insurance continuing education instructor in all 50 states.

Beyond the insurance industry, since 2006, Bill has consulted nationally with the home care industry, educating care providers on how to work more effectively with clients who have LTC insurance to help them through the often-confusing LTC insurance claim process.
