Working with Senior Caregiving Trusts and Trustees

Finance & Insurance

Date: Wednesday, August 28, 2024
Time: 12:50 pm

Session Learning Objectives:

  1. Gain an understanding of the language of trusts.
  2. Know how to work with individual or corporate trustees.
  3. Help families, caregivers, and fiduciaries work together towards providing optimum care to older beneficiaries.

Health professionals, caregivers, and families must frequently work within the legal arrangements that have been established for the care of an aging client or family member. Some of these legal arrangements include trusts that are under the control of individual or corporate trustees. Understanding the trust landscape, fiduciary requirements, and regulation of the trustee’s role and duties will help caregivers and agencies work better within this often confusing landscape.
