LTC insurance specialist Bill Comfort examines the LTCi claims process from the perspective of professional care providers and financial advisors.  This session will provide a framework for best practices when establishing services for clients with LTCi, and will examine common claim roadblocks with tips on how to help clients overcome those to get more claims approved more quickly.

1. The difference between reimbursement and indemnity benefit payments, and the potential issues to understand for professional care providers.
2. The three most important aspects of a LTC insurance claim to always consider first, including practical steps a provider or advisor can take to help ensure Benefit Eligibility, a smooth Elimination Period, and Provider Eligibility.
3. When a client should start the claims process, and how to ethically overcome the common desire to delay claims and “save” insurance benefits for later.
